Students will:

Utilize a condensed version of the DSM-5 Cliff Note handout with teacher definitions of disorders to diagnose patients. This is a perfect summary assignment/activity to introduce the varying psychopathologies to students in one day.

Background:
There are many ways disorders are categorized in the DSM-5 (The Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Illness) .  Psychologists and psychiatrists gather information about their patients’ behaviors and mental processes to diagnose them. With care, patients, and understanding assess the symptoms to accurately diagnose patients.
