October 23, 2024I don't use these tyres from about November to April. We live in one of the warmer parts of the UK (East Sussex) but we frequently drive in the morning and evening during the colder months, where typically <7degC winter temperatures are below the optimum operating range for regular tyres, and much more suited to the cold weather grip of winter tyres.
I find these are wonderfully grippy tyres even into the autumn when the roads are at risk of rain, mud and leaves. In such challenging conditions the remaining tread on front tyres is important. New, they are excellent in all conditions. As the legal limit of the tread comes closer the grip in dry remains very impressive but the wet grip is less impressive under the worse conditions.
I would not recommend the use of any regular tyres in the UK winter, but with good tread these would outperform most other regular tyres.
Driving frequently on narrow twisty country roads, often in very poor conditions, I feel confident with these tyres on our BMW 330e G20. Around every blind corner I can expect to find a pedestrian, a cyclist, a tractor carrying a large boom, all sizes of truck, Tarquin's mother in her seven seater kiddy fetcher/dog hauler, or even a pair of angry equestrians who feel they're entitled to hog an entire road.
These tyres provide an instant response to any brake or steering input
The wear seems on a par with most other tyres. The ride is nice, the tyres are very quiet and fuel economy is excellent.
I'd buy them again.
Excellent tires for adults only.

February 14, 20242018 BMW m550i came equipped with Goodyear RFT's. After hitting 2 minor potholes within a month and each instance 'blowing' out the sidewall went to the PS 4S. The Michelin's are quieter, handle better, withstand potholes about 500% better and are even wearing better. I live at 7000' altitude out west and don't even change them during the winter. That's how good X-drive is on the BMW. Don't get me wrong, an all-season/winter tire would perform much better during the cold months, but if you don't drive like a teenager who just got their license, then they perform as expected. A couple of idiotic negative reviews I've seen here: These tires suck, I just blew out my PS4's on a crappy road. Then you look at tire size and their running 20-21's+ w/ aspect ratio 30 or below. What did you expect you idiot? You barely have an inch of rubber to absorb those impacts! I'm running 20's on my BMW and have taken some major heat in these tires. My RFT's would of blown out and left me stranded (which they did 2 times) but these got me home (over 100 miles). Had to replace them one time after I hit a monster pothole at 85mph. They bubbled the sidewall but didn't blowout. What are people expecting from a high performance tire? They want velcro grip and 50,000 miles out of a tire. That's like marrying a Victoria secret model that cooks/cleans/does the dishes and will never cheat on you. Also running your tires at the proper pressure for the application is key. Your door jam 'sticker' pressures are minimum pressures for a 'loaded' car. Don't be running your rears at 10+ psi from your fronts if you don't constantly have passengers back there. .....and people wonder why their rear 'centers' are bald. If you want a tire that 'lasts' a very long time then you are going to sacrifice 'performance'. Figure out your needs and figure out the compromise that you're willing to take. It's not rocket science, .......but it is common sense.

October 26, 2024I have had these on my Infinity Q60 for two years They have kept me on the road even when I've taken turns the way I like to--fast and tight. I've put around 15,000 miles on them, rotated them every 5K and they've warn evenly, albeit faster than I like. They've still got good grip and brake well in wet and dry conditions. I just drove through the teeth of Hurricane Helene -- not for the faint of heart. No sickly feelings that come with serious hydroplaning. I was pleasantly surprised with their outstanding wet weather performance. They may transmit road noise more than I'd like, but that's what the stereo is for. The perfect tire for me is one that grips when I want it to and rolls quietly and effectively. SO, I get 2 of the 3 of my boxes checked and that's pretty good.

August 3, 2024I had 2 new tyres fitted to a GOLF GTI. I asked for the front 2 tyres to be replaced, since they are the most worn and also have to handle the power, steering and most braking. I was then told they would replace the fronts and then swap the front wheels with the back. I didn't ask for the new tyres on the back, yet they refused to carry out the work unless this was done.
They allegedly do this for road safety, however if a car with a staggered fitment comes in, the front and rear wheels cannot be swapped, so clearly this is purely fone for upselling reasons.
Very disappointing as I will now have to go home and swap these back around myself. Absolute waste of time!
