For several years I went without a Christmas tree due to time and I must be honest, lack of interest. The Christmas tree was always my mother's favorite thing to do for the holidays. Since we were kids my mom always made sure it was a perfect tree and that we all had a part in decorating the tree. She passed away this October and I can't tell how hard it's going to be to get thru this holiday season. Because of our loss l decided I wanted a Christmas tree this year and I wanted the best in honor of my mom. So, I pulled out my ornaments , pulled out my mom's ornaments and ordered a tree from balsam hill. I LOVE IT ....and so would have my mom. Thank you for making this Christmas a special one for us to enjoy and one we can celebrate with memories of my mom and her love of Christmas trees. Merry Christmas 🎄

For an artificial tree, it is decent looking compared to many others. The reasons for my rating is two-fold:
1) no matter how much fluffing I do to it, the tree is significantly more sparse than the full tree you see in the pictures.
2) the pictures show the realistic plastic branches that actually resemble a Fraser Fir. The problem is, there are other branches not clearly advertised that are a mixture poorer quality needles (the kind you would find on a cheap artificial tree) plus silver, tinsel-like needles. These alternate branches look inexcusable awful for the price. I feel bamboozled by the advertisement pictures and description, as the actual product does not meet the expectations set.

For 40 years we always bought a 7 ft Fraser fro the same nursery here in town but last Christmas at a friends house we saw a real pretty fake tree and where told its from Balsam Hill .We decided to try it because yeah real trees do drop needles they do need watering and the branches by the end are pretty well sagging dropping ornaments and stuff . Besides you can eep it up and not worry about it drying out and being a hazard . So we decided its buy ourselves a Christmas present . A win win right . Perfect tree no hassle and we avoided a bit of shopping at the stores trying to find the perfect present..
Now for the review. We ordered the tree mid Nov. and came very very quickly so we are impressed. However after watching videos and fluffing and fluffing and fluffing it still had a lot of gaps sand it had several bulbs not working. So I called Balsam and they where very nice said no way should there be any gaps and they replaced the tree . Bad news it cost 25$ to ship back but good news it had dropped in price $20 so it cost $4 to return. Got the second tree just as fast as the first , 3 days .As we put up the second tree we could tell right away it was a better tree and the gaps where less but once up there where still some gaps that you could see through but after watching more videos and refining the fluff technique it looked ok. Not as full and plush as the one in the picture when you buy it but I would say it did look good . The trick was the Fraser has branches that actually point upwards at an angle so you needed to be unafraid of bending the branches a bit . If I had to give it a score I would say it came up to 80- percent of the Balsam pictures. Are we happy with the tree , Errr yeah its pretty . Is it worth $850-$900 it seems good quality but Ive seen cheaper that look good , We'll see in a few years if the quality is worth the money.

I was very excited, I've been looking to get a new tree for a couple years and was very pleased when the trees were on sale for nearly half the cost. Sadly when the tree arrived the branches were not what I expected- not full all the way around but flat hard plastic, then random branches were a completely different material and color like they were from a different style tree. I ordered a prelit tree and the wires were everywhere and really tangled in the branches. Assembly was fine but this tree was not what I expected after research and pictures. I returned it and the refund was speedy minus the $25 return shipping fee. Hopefully you have better luck than me.
