$31 Scentless Candles :(
All Done· Review provided by yankeecandle.com · November 21, 2024
I remember years ago I had a Yankee Blueberry candle. I was burning it in the summer and I could literally smell it outside my window, it had such a nice throw and amazing fragrance. Balsam and Cedar was my winter favorite. Now, you literally have to stand right over their candles to smell them. I have purchased several different Yankee candles recently and I'm very disappointed with every single one of them. There is absolutely no throw whatsoever anymore. I can't understand what has happened or why it has changed so dramatically, but it's like Yankee no longer puts scent in their candles. Is fragrance too expensive? It seems $31 for a candle would be return enough to ensure their candles have a nice throw; now I'm just buying $31 expensive scentless candles, which I can get at the dollar store for the same result. Regretfully, I think I'm done with Yankee Candle.
[Rewarded Review] The mystery of the unscented/scented candle
· Review provided by yankeecandle.com · January 2, 2025
Customer service was excellent. Each person I spoke with was knowledgeable. All my questions were answered. Strangely enough, my candle did not put out a scent. I have been burning my candle since it first arrived. Following the directions. I was so disappointed my candle that I had hoped would give off a Christmas tree scent turned out to be only a large, green jar candle. I didn't want to say anything to Yankee Candle. You guys had been so nice and patient with me. I was fortunate enough to be able to afford a Yankee Candle at a discount. But, about 2-3 days ago, my Balsam and Cedar candle that was putting out no scent has made a comeback. I've still been lighting the candle regardless of no scent. At this very moment, my candle is burning and filling my home with the Christmas tree scent I had bought it for. Call it a Christmas miracle. It's a mystery why it wasn't giving off any scent before. Glad you asked.
[Rewarded Review] Woodsy & holiday
dawndeydusk· Review provided by yankeecandle.com · November 2, 2024
The smell of this candle reminds me of going to the mall during the holiday season as a kid. It has an artificial woodsy smell, but in a good way — almost sweet. Definitely Christmas tree energy. The burn time is quite good, and it has a rather even, quiet burn. The flames don’t fling themselves around like with other wicks, and there isn’t an excessive amount of soot. I’m docking one star because the lid is rather pliable. It’s easy to bend it (and it was actually dented in the packaging) so closing it wouldn’t actually seal the top. I had to dent it back in an even plane and then it was alright.
Yankee candles still rocks

This is not a review on the candles--this company is amazing. THIS FOR TARGET PROCESSING AND PACKAGING: Please, please put the candle inside a bubble wrap, at least. I ordered these from target because honestly they were cheaper than the Yankee store. My husband picked up the box and said "I think this is broken glass" Yeap-open the box and they were wrapped in just paper!!!! Really Target? Really? ALL BROKEN--dangerous for my delivery guy and me. In all fairness-Target did refund me right away. But, I did not want the money-I wanted my candles. I CANNOT RECOMMEND PEOPLE BUYING THESE FROM TARGET-UNLESS MY ORDER WAS A MISTAKE-but, I am not taking that chance again.
